Natalie Palin

Education Support Coordinator

I am an Indiana University graduate for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. My bachelor’s is in Secondary Education-English, and I received my Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs. I taught high school English for 12 years at different schools in Illinois, North Carolina, and Indiana. During grad school, I worked as an academic advisor at both IUPUI and Butler University. Since having our son in 2014, who was born with Down Syndrome, I’ve been involved with a national nonprofit, Down syndrome Diagnosis Network, in various volunteer roles.

After staying home since the birth of our first child, I had been missing being in a school and working with students. Also, having a child with special needs has taught me how important and needed advocacy is for certain populations within the education system. Brightlane gives me the opportunity to help support and advocate for the students within our programs.
