Education Director

I graduated from Indiana University in 2013 with my BS in Human Development and Family Studies and minors in Psychology and Sociology. My first career position was at DCS as a Family Case Manager for a year, and then I spent 4 years at The Villages of Indiana working with older foster youth on independent living skills.

Education is important because knowledge is power and every student has the right to understand what they’re learning. There is such a big gap in education since the pandemic. However, I saw a lot of high schoolers who struggled to graduate because of the learning curve the pandemic caused. There should be shared focus on populations who are vulnerable and those with access to resources, especially under the circumstances we face post-pandemic.
