In my time as a middle and high school math teacher, I learned that not all students have equitable educational opportunities. Students experiencing homelessness must navigate obstacles that often seem insurmountable. When I learned about Brightlane Learning and how our programs help students overcome those nearly impossible obstacles, I knew I found my professional home. Our mission keeps me motivated to work each day to break barriers faced by so many students.

Education is one of the few gifts that can never be lost or removed from an individual. It prepares students for a prosperous career path, and it also allows future generations to lead with empathy, build positive relationships, and promote the well-being of our communities.
