Grants & Data Manager

During my undergrad as an Indiana University Jessee and Belulah Cox Scholar, I volunteered with the Interfaith Winter Shelter. I also assisted with a housing first initiative and co-authored a narrative project with individuals who had experienced long-term chronic homelessness. These experiences helped me realize my passion for storytelling and advocating for unhoused people. In addition, I worked for the Indiana Geological and Water Survey as a research assistant on the first statewide comprehensive lead testing program in public schools.

Brightlane’s mission and programs impressed me immediately. I knew that I wanted to be a part of the innovative, thoughtful, and diligent work that is being accomplished to ensure all kids in Indianapolis have access to equitable education.
