Keith Bevacqua, education support coordinator at Brightlane, stopped by Daybreak to talk about our STEAM summer program on the city’s near west side.
“About 25% of Indiana’s more than 19,000 unhoused students live right here in Marion County,” Bevacqua said. “Our program supports housing-insecure families by providing tutoring, academic enrichment and educational support for children and the whole household.”
Thanks to Hannah Mordoh and the Daybreak team at WISH for helping others learn about Brightlane, our summer STEAM program, and our need for volunteers for the 26/27 school year.

As we continue to support students experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity, we need additional volunteer tutors. No teaching experience is required, and volunteers will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from Brightlane staff throughout the process.
